The Code Enforcement Appeal Board is the official hearing body for Code Enforcement actions within the Borough of Brookville that are appealed. The duties of the board are to hear appealed Code Enforcement cases. Any person directly affected by a decision of the code official or a notice or order issued under this code has the right to appeal to the Code Enforcement Appeal Board, provided that a written application for appeal is filed within 20 days after the day the decision, notice, or order was served. An application for appeal shall be based on a claim that the true intent of the code or the rules legally adopted thereunder have been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of the code do not fully apply, or the requirements of the code are adequately satisfied by other means. The Code Enforcement Appeal Board consists of three members appointed by Brookville Borough Council.
